Coast to Coast, A UConn Tradition since 2006
During the summer following the completion of their first year (sometime referred to as “our last summer ever”) students from the University of Connecticut’s Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine have come together to raise money and awareness for local Connecticut charities.
The first trip took place the summer of 2006 when two medical students decided to bike across the country for leukemia! From 2006 through 2015, the trip was known as Coast to Coast for a Cure and they raised money for Lea’s Foundation. Since then UConn students have undertaken the same task in effort to support a charity of their choosing.
